Kacey Bigham
Clinical Psychologist
BSocSci, BPsychSc(Hons), MPsych(Clin), MAPS
Kacey centres her practice in creating safe and collaborative therapeutic relationships and strongly believes that therapeutic change begins with feeling heard, respected and supported. Within a safe therapeutic relationship, she integrates science and a deep understanding of her clients to support personalised psychological treatment. Kacey is committed to neuro-affirming, trauma-informed and size-inclusivity care, welcoming all humans exactly as they are, and empowering them to grow toward who they want to be.
Kacey grounds her warm therapeutic approach in both somatic and cognitive-behavioural theories, helping clients understand that mental health is experienced both in the mind and body, and supporting the development of more helpful regulatory resources.
Kacey draws from several empirically supported therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Extended (CBT-E) for Eating Disorders, Polyvagal Theory, and Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults (MANTRA), among others.
Kacey often sees adult clients with a range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, substance misuse and substance use disorders, trauma, stress and burnout, life adjustments, and grief and loss. She is particularly passionate about supporting clients with eating disorders and disordered eating challenges, body image concerns, and challenges related to neurodiversity.
