Joel is a good-humoured and responsive Clinical Psychologist who cares deeply about the work he does. His therapeutic style is lively and collaborative, and his clinical work is grounded in the values of compassion, thoughtfulness, curiosity, and authenticity.

He sees the world through a multicultural lens and works hard to create a safe space in therapy where people feel heard and accepted. Joel has experience working in the public sector across adult and forensic mental health settings, supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental illness.

Joel is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly engages in clinical supervision to support ethical, reflective practice. He is also a Senior Clinical Psychologist at Epworth HealthCare.

Joel uses the following therapeutic approaches, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
