Brianna Lickiss
Psychologist
B.A. (Hons) Psych, MProfPsych
Brianna has experience working across both private practice and research settings, giving her a strong foundation in evidence-based psychological care. She has provided psychological assessment and treatment to a wide range of people and remained connected to current research and best practice. Brianna values combining scientific knowledge with a flexible, person-centred approach that recognises each individual's unique experiences and goals.
Brianna focuses on providing a warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental space where her clients can feel comfortable exploring the difficulties that have brought you to therapy. She believes that meaningful change happens at a pace that feels manageable and sustainable and will work alongside you to understand your experiences, identify your goals, and build practical strategies that support lasting change. Alongside compassion, Brianna also recognises that growth can sometimes require gentle challenge, and will support you in stepping outside of familiar patterns when it serves your wellbeing and values.
Brianna’s primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), which she integrates with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). For eating disorders, I also utilise Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E), an evidence-based treatment specifically developed for eating and body image concerns.
Brianna particularly enjoys working with both younger and older adults and has a particular interest in supporting people experiencing anxiety, mood difficulties, relationship and interpersonal challenges, burnout, eating disorders, and trauma or stress-related concerns.
